Last Saturday, in the penultimate round of the 11 th Book Fair Regional Chaco and in the House of World Cultures, writers Guillermo Saccomanno, Michelangelo and Leonardo Oyola Molfino discussed the "black police." The panel was coordinated by the writer and editor Paul Black.
The room was full and cold as a cold, the climate for a dialogue of this kind: a morgue. It ran the curtain, slowly, creating a suspenseful and dramatic plastic. And there were Saccomanno, Molfino, Oyola and Black, armed to the teeth.
The talk was entitled The simple art of murder . Black then fired the first question: Do you write for revenge? Saccomano said he writes "for pleasure", Oyola "revenge" and Molfino for "true affection for the death."
"A good story, a good story, illuminates a part of reality," said Saccomanno. That is their source of pleasure, literature as a partner. dialogue led to more sensitive areas. Saccomanno made it clear that political violence permeates our history, beginning with the novel Slaughterhouse , Esteban Echeverría, and continues through the decades with a tradition of institutional repression, terror and death. "Literature can not be detached from context. It is expected that our texts breathe violence. We must also look at the crime pages in the newspapers, which translate all this does not explain the business pages. One writes about the awkwardness of this violence, "Saccomanno said.
